Another one bites the dust

I am swearing off watching the Cowboys. No, I am not picking another team - I am just not watching them or supporting them in any way until Terrell Owens no longer wears the silver and blue. Not only did he disrepect the star in Texas Stadium while a member of the 49ers... he is a loud-mouthed, vile, jerk. I simply refuse to support him or my beloved Cowboys until they part ways.

Some of you will remember that I swore off watching my Los Angeles Lakers until Kobe Bryant is no longer on the team also. Am I becoming a bitter old man or are professional sports teams becoming less about the game, less about the fans, and less about setting a good example? Remember the days when athletes were decent human beings? Would a man like Lou Gehrig make it today? How about someone like Johnny Unitas? Not likely. Today it is all about thugs, punks, and asses.

Just as the public is walking away from the garbage delivered by mainstream radio... things will only change in sports when we start walking away. I for one - am gone.

Yes, I nearly fell off the couch this morning. It is a dark day for all true Cowyboy fans. I know they have had their share of miscreants but TO is simply beyond the pale. Jerry Jones has truly lost his everlovin mind. I will be looking for another team to root for from now on. I'm a sad panda.
