I'm going to court
Well, without giving too much away about the case and the friend that is involved, I thought I would let you know that I am heading to criminal court Monday or Tuesday. A friend has been charged with a crime and I am going to be a witness for the defense. It will be my job to convince the jury that the friend is not a criminal and that he should not be going to jail.
I am all for punishment when someone does something wrong, but not unless it is deserved. I met with the lawyer Saturday to go over the basic information of the case and will be "on call" to take the stand.
I thought about bringing in the audio recorder and making a podcast out of it, but figured that it probably would not help the friend if I caused a big commotion in the courtroom when they discover I am recording the proceeding. I will give you more details after the case is resolved.
Finally, all those years of watching court dramas is about to pay off!
