Pirate's Holy Grail?

Got this entry idea from a Twitter by Dwight Silverman

09-F9-11-02-9D-74-E3-5B-D8-41-56-C5-63-56-??-??

Just a bunch of numbers right? Not if you are a hacker. Apparently, this series of hex numbers is the "Holy Grail" of hackerdome. They allow HD-DVDs to be hacked.

Digg.com has been abuzz with the news and I am sure that lawsuits will follow. While hacking HD-DVDs holds no interest for me, I do find the whole debate over the illegality of publishing numbers interesting.

EDIT: Hmmm.... did I just break the law by reporting this? I better modify the last two digits.
