How high's the water Momma?
I just got back in town from a quick trip down to Inez to deliver Scooter home and to see if I could help out with the preparations for flooding. Yes, all that horrendous rain we have been having in the Houston area is a bit worse 100 miles to the south.
This shot was taken just a few feet off my mom's driveway. My brother Tim (behind me) setup a stick as a water gauge and we were checking to see how fast things were rising.
The good news is that the rate of rise is slowing as the rains have stopped, the bad news is that the water is about 40 feet above normal levels, the ground is soaked from weeks of rain, and the forecast predicts two more weeks of the wet stuff.
