Sarah Silverman Sucks
It is sure to be an unpopular stance with some, but although her boyfriend's show (Jimmy Kimmel Live) is one of my favorites, her humor is some of lamest on the planet. She takes the low road on every joke and her style is both rude and crude.
The shtick is to start with funny situation and then take the most crude angle possible in an attempt to make the audience laugh. "Watch Season Two of my program or I'll kill my dog," she says in her new ad. How is that funny? Sure, I know she wasn't going to really kill the dog, but how is this funny?
Sarah totally reinvented herself a few years ago when she was a pretty funny standup comedienne. Apparently her act was 'tweaked' to see how far she could push the envelope. She went from establishing a premise and delivering a funny punchline, to establishing a premise and delivering a humorless jab at children, small furry animals, the elderly or the handicapped - often with vulgar sex and fecal references. Now I'm no prude, but when I want to laugh at granny, I just don't want it to be about well-endowed horses (are there any other kind.)
In my humble opinion, Sarah Silverman... you are a humorless hack.

Hey man, I understand a lot of people don't like her, but I have to tell you that I love her.
Watch my show or I'll kill my dog. The question is: How is that not funny?
If you've ever laughed at the thought of Jesus hanging on a cross, or raping the virgin mary, than Sarah is your girl.
And she is pretty cute for Jewish girl.

Maybe you and Michael Vick find executing dogs funny - it's just not my style. There are so many great and humorous things in the world without having to stoop to mean-spirited and crass stuff. An intelligent comedian doesn't need shock value.

In the 70s, The National Lampoon did a cover -- it showed a dog with a gun pointed at its head. The cover line was, "Buy this magazine or we'll kill this dog."
I think Sarah Silverman is actually quite hilarious, but I'll be damned if I know why she stole that joke.
Maybe the joke's on everybody who didn't know the origin of the joke.

Yeah, I actually had that issue and for some reason it seemed funny then... I think the fact that she stole the joke is just another reason why I find her so lame. She has no creativity in her material - everything is either ripped off from someone else or just guttural.

I personally find her lame ass style of crude, caca-AIDS jokes to be entertaining because it sux so bad. Like a tryout tapwe thats so bad u wanna watch it.

Frat boy jokes aren't funny when frat boys make them. They're just embarrassing when she tells them.
She is the Paris Hilton of humor: act dumb, do crude stuff and show that pretty face. There are so many comediennes more deserving of the fame and attention that this one gets.

I'm not furious at her, but she's really not funny. I'm not offended by the dog jokes, etc. they're just not that funny. I watched five minutes of her show once and had to change the channel because I had brain freeze. I can't believe she got a second season. Apparently some people watch and like this stuff. I think she's only famous because of her connection to Jimmy Kimmel. I just can't fathom how else she made it.

The "watch my show or i'll kill my dog" line is funny, but it takes a more advanced sense of humor to understand it. She follows the line by saying "I swear to God I will", and that is the punch line. Yes, there are some that fail to grasp her humor....but her style goes beyond simple "jokes". It is her persona that makes her jokes funny

The major problem with Sarah Silverman is she defies self-deprication...and thus through her own personal endevor becomes a bloated head of self-importance...this is why she fails at being funny but appeals to others so self-important... she is the Paris Hilton of comedians...not funny... not talented...but established... and almost unremovable by the fatherly culture who fucked her onto shows like SNL and now apologize with her hack appearence on her own Comedy Central show...

She needs to be baptised in eternal fire. Im not a christian or a black but i think the Martin luther king joke was just pushing it too far. Her voice is annoying, she cant act, she makes the most lame jokes on the universe and probably paid people to laugh. She makes fun of celebrities that had been made fun of a milliontimes like paris hilton. Who cant make fun of Paris ? its just not original. She sucks massive whale cock.
