Blue Saturday
A long-time friend passed away recently and is being buried today after a lengthy struggle and it is a total drag. The shocker of it all is that when I last spoke with her (two weeks or so ago,) she was looking as though her recovery was on track.
I feel terrible that I am unable to attend the funeral because of prior commitments. It is not so much for me as for her family members. My thoughts are with them as they go through a very tough time.
The lone consolation is that she was not in peace for the past year or so and finally can rest peacefully. I will miss her.
