That's right - these are the most elite of all awards. Forget your Emmys, your Oscars, your People's Choice, and any of the other so-called major awards. The most coveted prize in all of entertainment is THE LOUIE! They are not given out to sell ads in a lavish yearly production. They are given out to the most deserving, WHEN they deserve it. Who is eligible for a Louie? Any independent podcaster. How do I define independent? Just like the award itself, however I feel like. :)
What does a Louie Award get you? The envy of your peers, adulation of screaming fans, and the sheer enjoyment of being known as the best!
How can you win a Louie? No amount of bribery or begging will help as it is not in your control. If you ask for one, you are most likely NOT Louie material. If you know of a podcast that I should consider though, please feel free to let me know.
How can I tell the world about my Louie Award? You can shout it from the rooftops on your podcast and then you can put the official Louie Award Winner logo on your site. It comes in two sizes:
